2003-04 Squash Program Outlook

The Hobart Statesmen return 6 of their top 9. They include senior co-captain Richard Reutter, juniors Henry Clutsam, Freddy Cook, Andrew Scott and Tejvir Rathore(co-captain), and sophomore Gavin Johnstone-Butcher.

First years expected to challenge for a starting position in the lineup are Andy Conrad(Millbrook School), Tucker Crockett(Episcopal Academy), Ben Crosky(Williamstown, MA), John Keating(Linwood, NJ), Andrew McDonough(Summit, NJ), Prateek Patni(Daly College), Brian Shiver(Delbarton School), and Stephen Thayer(Avon Old Farms).

Hobart opens up their season the weekend of November 15-16th against Navy, Denison and Franklin and Marshall. November 22-23rd Hobart will compete in the First Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association Conference Championships.

Competing in the UCAA Championships will be Hamilton, Hobart, The University of Rochester, St. Lawrence, and Vassar.

Hobart is coached by Carol Weymuller, hall of fame player and former coach at both Rochester's Genesee Valley program and Brooklyn's heights casino program. Weymuller's squads are always well coached, strong competitors, and excellent sportsmen. Look for another strong season from Hobart.
