Tufts Women Look To Make Big Move Upward

Women's 03-04 Season Outlook:
Despite losing senior captains Winnie So and Abi Cushman who played at #1 and #2,
Tufts looks to make a major move up the rankings.

Last year, the team rarely played with a full line-up due to injuries and other misfortunes. This year, the team returns last year's #3-9: Nicole Arens, Nida Ghouse, AJ Crane, Zoe
Bolesta, Eliza Drachman-Jones, Joelle Polivy, and Sarah Lucas.

Senior Leigh Checchio returns from England and will captain the team with AJ and Eliza.
Tri-captains Eliza Drachman-Jones, Leigh Checchio and AJ Crane are expected to provide outstanding leadership and play through the #5-9 positions.

The newcomers are perhaps the deepest class in Tufts history. Expecting to make an impact are Erica Adler (Episcopal), Jenny Lange (Miss Porter), Julia Avrutin (Rye Country Day), JJ Seaman (Cate), Erin Yeh (Hong Kong Intl), and Andrea Zeytoonjian (Nobles and Greenough). The team is expected to have twice as much depth as the past two years and starts with 15 players with experience.
