YALE Assistant Women’s Squash Coach

Position General Purpose
Assist the Head Coach in formulating, teaching and coaching technical aspects of game preparation and strategy for Women's Squash.

Essential Duties
Participate in the planning, organizing and execution of preseason and season practices. Assist in the development of conditioning programs. Provide input as to the evaluation of the athletes’ performance and progress. Evaluate opponents’ performance and potential against team. Ensure the peak performance of athletes during games. Participate in the recruitment of prospective student athletes. Participate in the evaluation and selection of a varsity team. Participate in planning for alumni events including fund raising or other special functions.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a relevant area and two years of experience coaching in a particular sport; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Education and Experience
Position requires work on weeknights and weekends.

1. Ability to communicate effectively through both oral and written expression.
2. Effective motivational skills.
3. Effective game strategist.
